What about growing your own salad at work? Stay in touch with the green trend with Microgarden.
Why does it take several months for a milk package to decompose when it only takes two weeks for its contents to go sour? Tomorrow Machine is a Swedish design studio that specialises in designing innovative packaging, primarily for foodstuffs and new food concepts. They have for instance launched a packaging that opens itself in the oven when the food is cooked. They have also joined the vegetarian trend and designed a pioneering mini-size greenhouse, for home or office use, which can be used to grow your own salad. Microgarden requires no maintenance and does not even need to be watered. This is solved by using a bed of gelatine made from seaweed which provides the plants with nutrients. The packaging is made of recycled and transparent plastic enabling you to keep an eye on the cultivation process all the time. When the salad is ready, all you have to do is put the entire package on the canteen table and it is served.Bon appetite!
