Focus better!

It happens often that our thoughts drift away when we're sitting in front of the computer. Instead of focusing on that report that needs to be finished, our heads are suddenly full of the children's homework, plans for dinner and where to go on holiday this year. It's only human; it happens to us all.

But wouldn't it be fantastic if there was a technical aid that would brush aside distracting thoughts, and improve concentration at the same time? This isn't science fiction. Such a tool now exists. Melon looks like something between a hairband and a sweatband, but that's where the similarity ends. Sensors in the band read your brainwaves. Melon is connected via bluetooth to your computer or mobile phone. As soon as you become distracted, a divergent pattern is visible and you are immediately informed of this. Melon will be on the market by the new year, but the band has already been tested with great success by a number of companies.
"By understanding how the brain works in different situations, Melon makes it easy to develop new and better work habits. You can simply create smarter routines and become more efficient," says founder Arye Barnehama.
