We pay a visit to Skype's latest office to discover a mix of pioneering spirit and Scandinavian heritage.
The once Swedish and now American company Skype has opened a new head office in California to deal with the North American market. The contract was awarded to the San Francisco based architect firm Blitz who designed a stylish and rather quirky office with a start-up feel. The architects' main goal with their interior design was to create an office that stood out in the area and, in this way, was able to attract young talent. Everyone knows the drawing power of a stylish office. And, there is no denying that Skype was originally Swedish as the interiors have a definite Scandinavian look about them.
