We want to work here!

Where in the world is the best place to work and to have time off? We at Kinnarps have read an exciting survey that shows that Australia enjoys the best quality of life.

Have you ever considered moving on and starting over? Each year the Economic Intelligence Unit assesses the quality of life in the world's largest cities. The criteria range from everything from healthcare, culture, security, infrastructure and work to how happy people actually are to be in a place. Melbourne ranked number one the fourth year running. It received 97.5 points out of 100. It was however a close call to second place where Vienna, the capital of Austria, finished up only 0.1 point behind. Both cities were neck and neck in almost all categories but the decisive yet possibly from a European perspective rather surprising factor was that Melbourne was adjudged to offer more culture than Vienna. And add to that the great climate and the more than 200 golf courses dotted around the city. But it is not just Melbourne that is popular ”Down under” – Australia has four cities ranked in the top 10. (Adelaide fifth, Sydney seventh and Perth ninth)
Where should you not live and work? At the bottom of the list, there are cities that are extremely unsafe and unstable. The city offering the worst quality of life is Damascus in Syria.
