Sigma, Stockholm

Sigma AB moved into their new office on Valhallavägen in Stockholm in August 2013. It is a unique half-moon shaped building with interiors that stimulate creativity. Sigma wanted to create a workplace with a focus on hot desking. VIDA Arkitektkontor and Sigma developed a concept solution and Kinnarps Interior supplied it. The result is consistent with the Next Office ABW (activity based working) concept. ”Next Office was extremely suitable for the kind of office Sigma wanted,” says the architect Leonardo Beccari.

The aim was to design a workplace that had a focus on hot desking. A place where staff can work together and share information wherever they sit. A working environment for increased efficiency and productivity. And creativity and freedom. It is important to point out that the interior design in this case not only supported hot desking but also placed greater demands on strategy and management.

The result was a stylish office for concentration and dialogue. With a balance between individual work and meetings. A workplace for the future with 200 flexible and functional workstations. ”We at Sigma want to practice what we preach. Our own concept with different technical mobile solutions, Sigma Mobile Worklife, combined with Kinnarps Interiors’ experience and ideas about the office of the future has created a very exciting working environment,” says Håkan Karlsson, Group CEO, Sigma.
