Some issues should be decided on with transboundary political- and generation agreements, like democracy, safety and human rights. This includes our ability to sustainably manage the crucial conditions for welfare and development, namely the world's ecosystems and a stable climate. Kinnarps' Corporate Quality and Environment Director Tomas Ekström, along with another 46 of Sweden's most powerful people in environmental issues, have signed an appeal to Swedish politicians.

- Environment, or rather sustainability, is a part of the family business Kinnarps' core values, corporate sustainability is a natural part of our daily work at Kinnarps. I hope to see clear traces of the legislation in the future, the public procurement law must change, it must pay to take responsibility for future generations possibilities to fulfil their needs, says Tomas Ekström.

With the appeal, published at Miljöaktuellt, the signatories want Sweden and the EU to show a strong leadership and become a role model for the rest of the world. They believe that this will strengthen our economy and create new jobs in a world where those who work for a resource and energy efficient development will manage best.
