London-based architect Thomas Heatherwick has always been passionate about greenery. Now he has found a cool way to create parks in London - with a park bridge across the Thames. Kinnarps is seeing a green trend for unique city parks.
In a city like London, which is so densely built, there is little space for new green areas. Heatherwick's proposal is to build a bridge over the Thames and plant it with trees, shrubs and grass and wild flowers. If built, it will be an equivalent to New York's High Line, another park planted on a bridge. This may be the beginning of a new movement to bring greenery to our cities. Kinnarps hopes so.
