Libra is Kinnarps' surprising new place to sit – a wave-shaped bench that offers one, two or three seats.
The name Libra is inspired by the zodiac sign depicted by the weighing scales. Typically, Librans are said to be social and outgoing characters who strive for balance and harmony, which makes Libra the perfect name choice, as the furniture takes its design from a balanced movement, the wave, and encourages relaxation and conversation. The open design of the bench makes it possible to sit in two directions, which makes it both flexible and easy to position while encouraging conversation and spontaneous meetings.
The wave-shaped seat catches the eye and Libra's place in the room is well-deserved as the curves are both striking and comfortable. As a result, the soft bench can be used to break up a strict interior or to introduce an element of creativity. In addition, there are lots of options for creating a unique expression, as Kinnarps has a large range of fabrics from which to choose. To make Libra even more striking and vibrant, it is possible to use a contrasting colour on the seat itself.
“It is exciting to be able to launch a comfortable bench that offers so many options for creativity. We open the door to personalised playfulness through our large fabric collection and it is even possible to choose a contrasting colour for the seat. The wave shapes are dramatic so we encourage our customers to be creative,” urges Ulrika Liffner, Kinnarps International Product Manager for Soft Seating & Reception.
Kinnarps launches Libra in 2014 and the bench will be available in three models – with one, two or three seats. The bench is available in all the fabrics in Kinnarps' large fabric collection. The leg arches are available in white, black and silver colours and in a chrome finish.
