A place for enhancing great experiences
A multi-purpose arena for all types of events
When the interior of Telenor Arena was to be planned in more detail, a design team was sep up, consisting of an architect, an advertising agency as well as representatives from Kinnarps AS. All decisions were vetted by them before being submitted to the customer, i.e. Staebaek´s management. Its motto was simple: “This is where great experiences should be enhanced even more”. The arena is also located on a historic site - this used to be Fornebu airfield. The feeling of an airfield was to be retained, and the décor was to reflect a football ambience. The graphical idiom is, for example, taken from aviation - numbers and letters on walls of riveted aluminium. There is also the timelessness of the interior design - all of it should still feel modern in ten years time.

As many functions as possible within a limited space
Timeless and elegant. At the same time strikingly modern, fitted out with practical furnishing and typographic elements with an almost classical feel. Telenor Arena outsice Oslo is Scandinavia´s largest indoor stadium, adapted to diverse activities that satisfy various needs. Stands with room for over 15000 spectators. When the grass is covered over, the stadium is transformed into a concert venue accommodating up to 23000 fans. Or into a training and conference centre for 1100 people.
Kinnarps, Materia and Skandiform supplied the furniture for the arena´s offices, conference centre, restaurants, bars, dressing rooms, press rooms and VIP lounges. In a separarate part of the arena there is also a fitness centre wchich includes furniuture from Kinnarps. Some of the furniture we supplied was for the large restaurant with room for about 900 diners. The client opted for Pompidoo chairs from Skandiform as well as table with sound- absorbent tops. Stabaek´s colours were mandatory feature of the interior design. The two shades of blue repeated in the stripes of the team´s outfits guided the interior design and can also be seen on the office chairs, stools and armchairs.
