The war in Syria is in its fifth year. Millions of people are fleeing the country, and half of them are children. The situation is very serious and people are in dire need of assistance. To try to help these people, Kinnarps is consequently making a Christmas donation to the UN's refugee agency, UNHCR.
”We are extremely pleased and grateful that Kinnarps has chosen to support the UNHCR's work on behalf of displaced people. With your support, the UNHCR can help more people to have a warmer and safer winter,” says Amelie Häger, responsible for corporate partnerships in Sweden for UNHCR.
The UNHCR leads the UN's work to protect people fleeing war and persecution. The UNHCR distributes emergency aid, fights for their human rights and gives displaced persons a better future. Kinnarps has long had a tradition of showing appreciation to its personnel during the Christmas holidays. This year we are showing this appreciation through a collective gift to UNHCR.
”We believe it is crucial for Kinnarps to show solidarity and to act in a socially responsible way in a world which can be both brutal and tough. We try to behave in this way throughout the year but somehow it feels that bit more important at Christmas," says Kjell Strandberg, Human Resources Director at Kinnarps.
