Time to rethink when it comes to the company’s filing cabinets? Check out how the problem of storage was solved in this bookshop in Mexico City!
Books are great, but they also take up loads of space. So what do you do when the book shelves are not enough? Use the ceilings and floor of course and not just the walls. The innovative architect firm Taller 6A came up with this smart shelving solution when a beautiful, old 18th century building in Mexico City was converted into a bookshop. Use has been made of every square centimetre. The differently shaped boxes are inspired by the bee hive. As a bonus the boxes are not only very practical when it comes to storage, but they are also great recesses for hiding lights in.
