The dining room, Restaurant, Café

The dining room/Restaurant/Café is at the heart of the facility and should have great flexibility in terms of furnishing and seating to strengthen the sense of community. The dining tables need to be adaptable or already customised for wheelchairs as well as for users with different needs, such as those who have had hip joint surgery. The chairs must be easy to move without making a disturbing noise. Chairs which can be hung from tables make cleaning easy. Create space in the room, for example using screens or plants. The dining room is characterised by good acoustics with minimal clatter and noise. Here, sound, light and good smells are extremely important – food simply tastes better if all the senses are satisfied.
