Creating an innovative and efficient office is not just an interior design project – rather it is a project to deliver change. We help you through the entire project and support you in all your challenges. Together, we design a creative working environment that harnesses all the possibilities for enabling organisations and individuals to develop and stay healthy. To achieve this, it is important that people, technology and the environment collaborate during the entire process.
Our Next Office concept consists of many different elements – we lay the foundation for a new workplace that is specially designed for you using concrete tools, workshops and analyses.
A working environment that supports existing and future work methods increases efficiency and productivity. It encourages creative meetings and cooperation, increases innovativeness and builds team spirit.
Workplace stress is reduced when employees can choose between activity-based spaces that are customised to their work tasks. Ergonomic solutions and opportunities to move around contribute to better physical health.
When you invest in a good working environment and design, you can easily attract new talents. When employees appreciate their workplace, team spirit plus internal and external branding are strengthened.
Next Office is a flexible solution that is tailored to your needs. It is easy to adapt furnishings as your numbers increase and your work methods change – without having to renovate or buy more space. The result is a “breathing” office that uses space optimally and is adaptive to current conditions.
Your new office is sustainable and takes people and the environment into consideration. Within the framework of our "The Better Effect" sustainability initiative, we constantly strive to improve – and report the effects of our products in a sustainability index.
Why a new office? Do you have a common vision or desire for what you wish to accomplish?
The first step of the process is to create a common vision and common goals. We place great importance on informing and inspiring your employees. In workshops, we will describe the coming process and the possibilities it offers, with the purpose of involving and engaging your employees. The more your employees know, the less they will fear the change, and the greater their enthusiasm for what's to come.
How do you currently work? What is the work pattern of your office – which solutions work and what do you feel is lacking? How you would like to work in future?
The point of Next Office is to avoid forcing individuals and organisations into a concept. Instead, we take our starting point from the way you work based on your need to create a solution that will work for you in the future. This is why we carefully analyse your organisation and the work methods of your individual employees. By holding workshops with your employees and having them fill out a web survey, and by interviewing project and management teams we gain important information. We also map out how facilities are and will be used in your office and to what extent. The collated results give us a good idea of the settings you will need to serve your future development.
How well do you know yourselves? Do you truly work the way you think you do?
This phase of the project is an exciting one as the results of the survey often give you new information and knowledge on and insight into how your business operates and how you can develop your work methods. Together, we analyse the results. Using what we learned, we create a common strategy that corresponds to your goals and vision for your new office.
How will it look? How can your new office be designed to meet your specific needs?
Now it's time to get practical. Having reviewed the results of the report and the insights gained, together we develop the future strategy to be translated into a substantial design concept with tailored spaces. Next Office offers many inspiring settings that support different types of work. Should your survey show that you require more varied meeting and project spaces, or if your employees have highlighted that they value private work spaces, the floor plan will reflect this! A complete interior design solution with look and feel can be added to this stage as an extra service.
How can this be achieved? How do sit/stand desks work? Why should you use them? And how do you personalise your ergonomic office chair? How do you use the room booking system, meeting spaces and rooms/spaces for making phone calls?
It is vital that your employees are given a good introduction to the environment and any new working methods and behaviours. We deliver, install and assemble your new office quickly and efficiently. But that's just the beginning. We also train your employees to know and utilise the possibilities of their new office, and conduct follow-up meetings to ensure that all details are in place.
How did things turn out? Is the office customised to how you work and can you easily make changes when needed? Do you feel you cooperate more and that you have a creative and productive atmosphere? Do you feel your working environment has improved and that it encourages employee satisfaction and health?
After six months in your new office, we will once more analyse and evaluate the results in relation to your vision and goals. We will also compare the new data with the data we have from your old office and see what has improved. This is an important phase of the process as it gives you the opportunity to document actual results while providing us with valuable feedback. Our work method is constantly changing because of the rapid development of technology and societies. For this reason, it is important that your new office is flexible, stands the test of time, and can easily be customised to your employees' new habits and needs.
Why we created
Kinnarps Next Office®
Hearing that the office will be remodelled is not always considered good news. And of course, this is due to stories of failed attempts. About stressful, noisy environments that don't allow employees to work in peace and the uncertainty that there will be an available desk when they arrive to work.
In pace with technological development, our customers have been faced with many challenges. We recognised that there is a great need for innovative and functional solutions that support the new way of working. Which is why we created Kinnarps Next Office. A results-oriented method that has its starting point in your operation's needs and in which, your employees are key. Next Office is based on extensive research with customers, organisational developers and futures analysts. What did this reveal? That organisations and the people in them cannot be forced into ready-made concepts! For a new office to be successful, we need to create environments that people want and can be happy in.
The optimal office – Next Office – centres on the interface between the organisational culture, the digital environment and the physical environment. It is vital to have an engaged management team and a declared ambition to involve employees in the process. Together, we will map the current and future digital environment to ensure that you have the necessary technology and that employees are prepared to use it. With our workplace analysis, we will discover your most important work patterns which will then serve as the basis for the physical environment. Because Next Office is always based on the individual organisation, the method works, regardless of organisation size and industry.
