The Delegation of Circular Economy submits recommendations to the Swedish Government
An advisory body to the government
Since 2023, Kinnarps has been a member of the Delegation for Circular Economy - an advisory body to the Swedish government with the aim of facilitating and driving the business community's transition to a circular economy.
When this year's recommendations were to be handed over to Sweden's Minister for Climate and Environment Romina Pourmokhtari, Kinnarps' representative Johanna Ljunggren was present.
"The Minister seemed favourably disposed and gave a good response to our recommendations," says Johanna Ljunggren.
Extracts from the document submitted:
Because the circular economy encompasses so many perspectives, clear political leadership is needed to bring about the systemic change required. Therefore, the Circular Economy Delegation has the following proposals for the government:
- Set national circularity targets
- Ensure that public procurement creates a foundation for circular economy
- Ensure that waste legislation steers towards a circular economy
- Reduce waste incineration
More information about the recommendations is available on the Swedish Delegation for Circular Economy’s website.
